Oliver Oakes, Team Principal of the BWT Alpine F1 Team, made his shock resignation this weekend, promoting Flavio Briatore in his place. Briatore was previously banned after the 2008 ‘Crashgate’ scandal at Renault.
Following this, Jack Doohan was then dropped as a driver by Briatore (also his manager) and will be replaced for the next five races by previous Alpine reserve driver Franco Colapinto.
