A sonic soundwave shook Virginia when the metal maniacs, Metallica, played their 1991 hit ‘Enter Sandman’.
Metallica took the stage at the Virginian venue Lane Stadium, and performed in front of 66,000 people. At the beginning of the night, they began to hype up the audience by playing the introduction to ‘Enter Sandman’ and once the song went into full swing at the end of the setlist, the crowd went wild.
The audience was so hysterical, in fact, that it caused a miniature earthquake, measuring 1.5 on the Richter Scale.
According to geographical professor Dr. Martin Chapman, “What we recorded is a lot bigger than what we typically see at a football game.”
