Eriksen ‘in hospital’ after collapsing in Denmark game

Christian Eriksen is ‘doing well’ in hospital after collapsing during Denmark’s friendly against Ukraine this weekend. Eriksen was believed to be unconscious briefly before regaining consciousness, and walking off the pitch.

Eriksen, who previously suffered a cardiac arrest during a Euros match in 2021, was tended to by medics, before the match was abandoned on the 78th minute.

He was fitted with an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator) after his first cardiac arrest, which allowed him to carry on playing football.

“Christian is doing well and has asked me to send regards to all the players,” said national team doctor Morten Boesen.
