Long dormant Telltale Games have broken their silence to announce a long-awaited sequel to The Wolf Among Us, with a 2027 release window expected.
The original game, released in 2013, was based on the Fables line of graphic novels and followed Sheriff Bigby (the Big Bad Wolf) as he investigated a series of murders in a dark and gritty take on the world of fairytales.
The highly-anticipated return follows years of hiatus at Telltale offices, as fans worried that large-scale company shutdowns would leave the title in development hell. It will also introduce new characters from the world of the Wizard of Oz, who are acting as a criminal gang.
Ahead of the sequel’s 2027 release, the original game is also expected to be remastered and re-released in the later months of 2026.
